Questions:
One of my software vendors tells me I need to receive the
DEC ECO patch for VMS 6.2 on my Alpha. Can you tell me
what this is, what it fixes, how I might be able to get it,
and the cost asscoiated with it?

There are a number of patches available for OpenVMS -- some are available
at the Digital Internet patch area at:
http://www.service.digital.com/html/patch_public.html.
Contract customers have access to additional patches via the customer
support center.
You will have to ask your vendor *which* patch they believe is necessary.
