Questions:

When I mount an NFS-drive, using UCX, from a OS/2 server
all files gets renamed to $filename.txt.
If I mount the NFS-drive to a Unix system instead, the
files look alright.

We are running Digital TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Alpha

Are the files getting renamed on the storage device, or are the
files merely `appearing' with a name other than the expected name
only via the NFS path, with no change to the actual filename on disk?

Based on what is in .0, this problem looks like it might be specific
to the OS/2 NFS support implementation.

Given that the OS/2 system seems to be the `odd' system, please try
several combinations of clients and servers, to try to localize the
system with the erroneous NFS implementation.

If testing shows this problems appears to be the OpenVMS implementation
of NFS, please contact Digital customer support. If it appears to be
in the OS/2 NFS package, please contact the relevent support organization.

When calling support, you will need to provide information on the
location of the NFS server in this configuration -- are you using an
OS/2 NFS client and an OpenVMS UCX NFS Server, or are you using an
OS/2 NFS server and an OpenVMS UCX NFS client. (ie: Where are the
files stored?) Please also provide information on the OS/2 NFS server
(or client) package and on the OS/2 version, and an example of the
   specific problem being seen.

After contacting Digital, this support request may end up involving
the OS/2 NFS package customer support organization.
