Questions:

Here is the background to our problem.

We have a Cad application called Tribon that in general produces postscript prints a variety of printers & plotters. eg. prints to HP 5si which is attached to the network via a Emulex Netjet internal MIO card. We have this queue set up using LAT.(Terminal
 queue). No problems here.

We have a designjet 750C printing up to A0 size using an external NetQue using LAT, We have also set this up using TCPIP . Generally no problems, although sometimes plotter displays receiving message ,but nothing is printed. We suspect this sometimes occu
rs after a PCL formatted file has been sent from the Pc environment, and although the postscript in the Designjet Plotters is set for auto the file is not interrrupted correctly.

We then have another plotter set up with a HP JETDIRECT card and a TCPIP server queue. This again prints generally ok. However the problem is that HP say that we should be able to print plots larger than A0.
The problem appears to perhaps lie with the Postscript driver in the Tribon application, any tests were unsuccessful.

Our CADCAM support staff have begun working with a HPGL format. When a file is downloaded to the PC environment and printed to plotter setup with hpjetdirect using tcpip from an NT server queue - file prints correctly. When file is printing in HPGL format
from OPENVMS platform the file is incorrectly printed. Our CADCAM support suspect that the first character in every line is some how being "ignored or stripped off ".

:Do you have any information that may help us ?

You will need assistance from folks that can look at the files
generated by the various applications, at the intermediate stages
of the transfer(s) to the printers/plotters, and determine where
   the fault(s) lie.

You have a large collection of non-Digital hardware and third-party
software, and you will need assistance of the folks that are
   supporting all this.

The wizard has access to none of the hardware and software that
would be necessary to try to duplicate any of these problems.
