:I want to update my VMS version from 5.5-2 to 6.2. :What must I do ? Read the OpenVMS Installation and Upgrade manuals, as well as the new features, as well as the release notes. For V6.0, V6.1, and V6.2. Make a standalone system backup *before* the upgrade. You will need to upgrade to either V6.0 or V6.1 before upgrading to V6.2. :Which products need a new license ? Probably OpenVMS, DECnet, and shadowing, depending on what types of licenses you have. Others depend on what products you choose to (or need to) upgrade. :Which products need a new instalation ? :Which products (if any) don't have an appropriate version ? See the upgrade documentation as well as the software rollout: http://www.openvms.digital.com/openvms/os/swroll.html |
