Hi, I've just started using the latest VC 5.0 release and believe I've run into a few bugs around namespaces with templates. What I'd like to know is, is there a particular microsoft conference/repository that Digital employees can dip into and find out all known bugs, and also pose questions directly to Microsoft. I feel most of my questions at times are not directly Alpha related and also it would be nice to know in advance what problems are known instead of running into them first. Cheers, Steve. BTW.. as soon as I understand my namespace problem well enough I'll place it in this conference.

Stephen, There are some Microsoft-moderated newsgroups accessible through msnews-gw.pa-x.dec.com (from Internet Exploder, do Go | Read News, then in the new window do News | Options | Server, and add msnews-gw.pa-x.dec.com as a News Server. Then there is the Knowledge Base, accessible from http://www.microsoft.com/kb/ It would help us a lot if only Alpha-specific questions and problems were posted in this notesfile. Other issues should be posted in the HUMANE::VISUALC conference, where there is a wider audience. Mike

If it's the same problem I had porting an existing V4.2 C++ project into V5.0, the problem also occurs on Intel.

BTW.. I have posted my template-namespace problem in microsoft.public.vc.language as well as note 477 in this conference. |
