Digital's DCE Engineering Group in Littleton Mass (LKG) is looking for a Senior
or Principal software engineer to join our joint DCE for Windows NT and Windows
95 team. This is a very dynamic and energetic team, with some very challenging
short-term deliverables. We also have some interesting inter-company
relationships to add spice to our daily work.
Specific responsibilties for this position include supporting DTS (the
Distributed Time Service) on both Windows NT and Windows 95, as well as
porting, implementing, debugging, and testing to deliver our V2.0 DCE for
Windows 95 product set. In particular, we need to build expertise on this
team in the area of the security (kerberos) client.
Strong teamwork and communication skills are a must-have, since this is a joint
development project with a team at IBM in Austin.
All candidates should have strong debugging skills and excellent C programming
skills, proven by past project work. Threads programming, distributed
computing experience, or middleware experience are highly desired; Candidates
without such experience must also have Visual C++ experience on either Windows
NT or Windows 95.
I will consider hiring a contractor if s/he has DCE or Athena or comparable
middleware internals experience. DTS or DTSS experience would be especially
welcome.
