Responsibilities include: Printer Drivers, PPD files, Windows printer
driver evaluation, creation, and support. Software specifications for
desktop PostScript printer firmware. Software testing and verification.
Co-development of Windows based PC-tools using Visual Basic, Technical
interface to technology partners (Adobe, Peerless Systems Corp., Compaq,
and others). Technical interface to internal Documentation
Organizations, Marketing, VMS, MS-Windows, and Macintosh printer driver
developers. Contributed to and coordinated the development of the
DECimage-Plus image processing software built-in to the desktop and
Printserver laser printers. I am the local imaging quality expert. VMS

Responsibilities include: Technical project leadership on the "WorkFlow
Manager" project. Formal inspections of the C-code. Assisted in the
design of the port to Ultrix and Alpha. Consulted on integration into
other software projects and into the upper level development of the CASE
project.

Principal Hardware Engineer - VAX Systems & Services /Central Power &
Packaging - 7/87 to 12/90
Responsibilities include: Introduction of analog CAD tools to the CPP
group. Technical interface to Viewlogic Inc. on their "Workview"
product. Drove internal start-up and education for the tools. Developed
additional simulation tools and techniques. Integrated the tool suite
into the Digital Design Process, and published internal guidelines.
Supported two other organizations outside of VSS. Course preparation.
Integration into data management shells DDM and ACE.

Senior Hardware Engineer - Power Supply Engineering - 5/84 to 7/87
Recognition Award recipient for the design of the SLM (System Logic
Module) used in the BI-BUS expander. The SLM is a combination of analog
and logic circuitry using FPLS and PAL programmable devices. The module
performed full system startup, environmental monitoring, error handling,
and other controls. Designed the H7176. Redesigned the VAX 8500TM power
system to accept a Battery Backup System. Introduced and trained
engineers in the use of the MAPPS project scheduling software. Designed
a low power current-mode switching power supply that never went to
production.

Engineer II - Field Service Logistics - 6/78 to 5/84
Responsible for the design of test fixtures and semi-AI Fortran code
used for automatic diagnosis of switching power supplies returned to
Field Service. Test process development. Temporary supervisor of a small
group during a transition of personnel.

Personal Time - 10/78 to 7/79
Designed and implemented in GWBasic a custom Accounts Receivable program
for Carl Forester and Sons, Wholesale Florist. Rewritten in 1989 to
upgrade to MS-DOS. This program is still in use to manage invoices,
provide financial analysis, and produce automatic customer billing.
