As a result of the downsizing of the Printing Systems Business, many jobs
will no longer be needed. Because of this, I am available to internal Digital
groups. If you know of any openings for a Principal IS Specialist with

Here is a subset of my accomplishments within the last 6 years -
* As a member of a team of IS professionals, support a highly specialized
engineering community with IS services including daily support of Windows
NT servers, PC's running Windows 95, Windows NT workstation, and Windows/DOS,
UNIX, and OpenVMS in a multiprotocol networking environment.
* Designed and implemented a Windows NT domain infrastructure for a multiple
site NT rollout. This included domain design, implementation of replication,
RAS, WINS, DHCP, DNS, setting up trust relationships, and the choosing and
building of hardware to support this infrastructure.
* Designed and implemented a plan for a business wide rollout of Windows 95.
This included hardware configurations, application compatibility and user
education.
* Designed, maintained, and monitored multiprotocol LANs and WANs in the IS
enterprise. Knowledge of Digital and 3rd party network components including
NICs, Switches, Routers and Hubs.
* Designed, implemented and supported a Microsoft Exchange infrastructure for
a multiple site business. This included support for E-Mail and Groupware
functions.
* Designed and supported Web sites on UNIX and Windows NT. Proficient in HTML
coding and UNIX scripting.
* Supported and created new solutions for CAD based tools utilizing the UNIX
and Windows NT operating system.
* Performed UNIX, OpenVMS, and Windows NT systems administration. Served as
a higher level contact for UNIX, OpenVMS, and Windows NT problems and
solutions.
* Designed and wrote system tools for automated account creation, security
monitoring, event log monitoring and other applications on all platforms.
* Designed and implemented a business wide UNIX and Windows NT backup strategy.
* Act as a technology leader in the PC architecture space. Provide direction
and assistance to other team members when needed.
* Provide support and solutions for the interoperability between all platforms
including Macintosh support with Windows NT, LAN Manager support on UNIX,
NFS support on Windows NT, LAN Manager and TCP/IP support on OpenVMS.
* Provide turn-key technical trade show support both locally and on the road.
Provide staging support, demo creation, and on the road support for 2
businesses. Speak technically with customers about the shown products.
