Well, here it is a month away from the big tourney! and know one seems
to keyed up to start talking about it. So, I will start............
I think the Cheifs will make all their games, I think the Canadians
won't lose a game, I think the Scooners will get hammered, I think even
tho the highest court in canada has baned LAP DANCING, Quebec will
still allow it, I think the Eagles will win a game, I think the Scooners
will get hammered all weekend, I think the Sharks will go to the "B"
    final!

know where to find me when not at the rink ;-)

| | Schedler's list is all wrong!

The Sharks will not go to the "B" final, as I hear their goalie can"t
stop the low shots along the ice and he likes to shoot the puck over
the boards for a 2 min. delay of the game penalty. |:>

The Cheifs will make all of their games but will get lost going from
the dressing room to the ice.

The Eagles son't do to well after their first game, as Bernie the
Eagle will not be found at the rink but in his room sitting in a bath
    tub filled with ice.

The "B" final will be between the Canadians and the Burlington Claws.
The Claws have a stronger team this year after drafting a top Canadian
player best known as "THE RIPPER". |:>

Chris Zelak or Rick Marshall if you read this note, I have sent Rick
the money by way of internal mail. If anyone on the team needs a
room-mate please let me know as I have not booked a room yet.

I would like to welcome the new members of this years IRISH.
We have slightly modified last years roster withouth disrupting
the chemistry we had last year.

BTW is the schedule out yet, and if not when will it be out.

            See you all there.....

| | Thanks to the 97 Tournament Commitee for a job well done. Thanks also
to Tom Johnson and the rest of the Eagles for a good time. Maybe some
day the stars and the moon will be aligned just right and we will win a
    game ;-) .

Congratulations to the Kanata Raiders and Ottawa Escargoes for winning
their respective divisions. Apparently a protest has been lodged by
the Raiders on the MVP choice ;-).

Rumour is that Andy Watters had to leave the rink by the Zamboni doors.
It's the only one that his head fit through :-)

    year.

My team enjoyed themselves, and thought it was a well run tourney,
    especially the game times.

    Congrats to the winners.

I know someone will but I'll ask anyway. Can someone post the full
    results.

On to next year. My team says Montreal is the spot.

this year. We still had a lot of fun out there and we are going
to ask the committee to have the other teams pay our entry fee.
After all, we are the guaranteed 2 points for any teams playing
    against us. \

We all vote for next years tourney to be in the States.

We usually cross at the Akwasasne Indian Reserve near Cornwall when a
full moon is not in the sky! Besides, whenever the US border guard
asks us "what is your purpose of travelling to the States?" and we
answer "To play in a hockey tournament", he looks at our hairlines and
our stomachs, laughs and says "Yea, right", before waving us through.

I had lots of fun, a little disappointed about not making it to
the finals, but there is always next year eh lads... Hey Terry
Nice slash ..... I think you mistook me for a Maple tree that needed
a little trimming eh.... (thank god for pads eh)

While we are voting for where to hold next years tourney .. I vote
Lake Placid, somewhere different .... Montreal is great but a change of
    atmosphere would be good....

    Just a thought...
Thanks again boys for a great time.....
    cheers,

Congrats to the Raiders & Escargo on winning their divisions.

I was going to complain about losing to the Escargo on a penalty
shot but seeing how Burlington went 3 Ot's & 5 (or was it 6)
penalty shots to lose it just didn't seem right 8-)
