Spiralog V1.2 is the only version supported on OpenVMS V7.1
You can get Spiralog V1.1 to run on V7.1 but I would advise against it
both for supportability reasons and also because a subsequent Spiralog
upgrade _will_ damage your V7.1 system in terms of obsolete images.
Given that I expect the Spiralog V1.2 kit to be with the SSB within a
few weeks I would ask that your customers bear with us just a little
longer. The timescale mentioned in note 234.0 is still accurate.

---------------
Due to a 'foible' of the PCSI product installation tool if you
upgrade VMS to go from an OpenVMS V7.0 + Spiralog V1.1 system to
an OpenVMS V7.1 + Spiralog V1.1 and subsequently upgrade the
Spiralog portion to go to an OpenVMS V7.1 + Spiralog V1.2 then
you will end up with the OpenVMS V7.0 versions of the BACKUP.EXE
and SYS$IPC_SERVICES.EXE images which may cause all sorts of
problems with things like backup, batch/print, DECdtm, Rdb,
RMS Journalling and possibly others.
