re: "...you also need to have TeamLinks mail installed..."

But I don't want TeamLinks mail. I have and use Exchange. All I want
to do is read/write/reply/KeepTrackOfUnseen from NT4 via RAS/TCPIP.

Is that possible?

177.6Get a V2.5 kit...FLASK2::16.39.192.207::MCMICHAELA Cunning Plan...Wed Jan 29 1997 09:2912
Pete,

The best bet is to get hold of a TeamLinks V2.5 kit which is still on
XANADU as far as I know. Then, just install the conferencing option -
TeamLinks (the mail part) will not be required. I've stuck with V2.7 EFT2
for exactly the same reason as it didn't have the authentication stuff
in it.

Thanks, Ian, I'll experiment with that.
177.8Dont have to have TeamLinks Mailcouldb.ilo.dec.com::imslow::emchaleFri Jan 31 1997 12:019
Peter,

You need TeamLinks Mail installed to take advantage of the security
feature. If you do not have TeamLinks mail then V2.7 of Conferencing
does not have the security feature but works similiar to V2.5(with
some bug fixes).

    I have installed the 2.5 kit. It looks like its waht I want.
    However,
    	I am not running decnet. NT4.0 with tcp/ip
    	What protcol selection can I choose. I took the defaul IP
    selection and it complains about not finding winsoc.dll when I try to

I have Windows 95 using the TCP protocol that comes included, so If I remember
correctly, I selected the TCP listed as Microsoft LAN Manager.

Dennis,

Have you got TeamLinks mail/office installed?. If so what is the network
transport which you have selected in TeamLinks setup?.
