| Andreas,
Can't completely reproduce it that way.
If I sort on Date Descending and the list does not fir on one screen, it scrolls
down so far that the selected object is visible on the last row. So if I select the
bottom row (the oldest) close and re-open, indeed the list is sorted descending
and indeed the oldest one is still selected and on the bottom of my screen.
If I select the newest object and close the compound and re open, the newest object
is visible in the top of the screen. Do they have the same behavior?
I'm running 308 32 December.
Regards,
Jos

459.3 | Seems to be a Mailinbox problem | ATZIS3::atzpc2.aui.dec.com::HUSCHKA_A | SIB-OFFICE | Thu Mar 27 1997 10:59 | 13 |
| Jos,
I found out that this behaviour occurs only for the Mailinbox.
(Have a lot of mails -> Descending sort on CreatedAt -> First open after login
don't place you on top of list).
Can you verfy this ?

| Yep. verified the same behavior. The oldest envelope is always 'focused' no matter
if you sort ascending or descending. A user's intention for sorting descending
of course is to see the newest mail on top of the list and it should have focus.
Can you IPMT this?
Kind regards,
Jos
