2262.0. "can't define DDA with new external Mail" by GENIE::bike02.ebo.dec.com::genie::tschanz () Fri May 30 1997 15:02

Hi

After the installtion from the new external Mail from ijsapl::disk$lnx:[kits.mime]
the DDA is not configurable anymore.

It was also curios that the xmproc.op parameters not merged to extmail.cfg.

If i define in extmail.cfg DDA: XMRROUTE i can't see it with the xminit -xp
command.
It is also mising with the command xminit -xpp that all defaults parameters
listed.

Is this realy the official Kit that we can using ore ist this a know bug??

Many thanks for your answer

Anton,

I just tested the upgrade procedure of external mail while DDA definitions
are present in the X.400 block of the configuration file. The upgrade works
fine in my environment (the DDA definitions which were present in the old
configuration file are identically present in the new configuration file).

With respect to "xminit" (which is not printint the DDA definitions): you are
100 % right. A necessary switch is not set in the logic of "xminit". You
need to generate an IPMT case to get this corrected. Don't worry too much
about this aspect though. The real processing on DDA definitions is done by
the "x400recv" programs. And nothing is wrong there. So it is just the
printing which doesn't show everything it should do.
