2260.0. "PowerPoint didn't work on 308pH" by OSANPO::EMON () Wed May 28 1997 12:37
Hi,
A customer uses Office95(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) under LNX 3.0.8
on Digital UNIX.
Regarding all object classes derived from "Text", "SpreadSheet" and
"Presentation Graphic", ILockByte is disabled.
Then he installed Office97, only "Presentation Grahic" didn't work.
The error message is as follows:
"It Is not possible to start powerpnt.exe c:\tmp\g.ppt". Error 2.
Client
- LinkWorks Version : 308pH
- OS : Windows95(Japanese)
Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

| Its because LinkWorks cannot find PowerPoint. It can find it by either:
1. Put the filename between single quotes in the registry entry
for PowerPoint. PowerPoint.Show.8 -> Shell -> Open -> command
2. Insert powerpnt.exe=PowerPoint.Show.8 in the LinkWorks->
Environ->Documents section in the registry.
3. Add the powerpoint directory to your PATH setttings.
4. Specify the powerpoint directory in CM -> Tools -> Directory.
