2205.0. "LNX/NT customer has only physical backup" by NNTPD::"[email protected]" (Gerard van der Veen) Tue Apr 22 1997 18:12
-The customer in trouble (using LNX 3.08 for NT/Oracle) crashed his
server and restored everything on new hardware, so the NT SID's
have changed.
He only has physical backups of his tablespaces which he restored. He also
restored
the user's and their passwords. Oracle is up and running.
He now gets the wellknown 1069 error (login failure) when starting
the LNX Server.
I proposed him to save all linkworks tables logically using Oracle
tools, to reinstall LNX and next to reimport the tables. Is this feasible?
Is there any other way to recover from the situation the customer
has got into?
Thanks for your help.
Gerard
