| Andreas,
I remember a bug where the mouse was disabled when you get the 'read-only'
message from the applicaction. The return key could still be used.
Not sure if this is the same thing, is it really LinkWorks that hangs?
Like you started the application synchrone?
Kind regards,
Jos

| Jos,
there is no mouse problem. The behaviour is indeed like starting the tool synchronous.
Anyone else had/have this problem ? Any solutions ??
regards
Andreas

| Yes, Werner has the same problem for Word, if he switches off ILockBytes.
But I can't reproduce it here (32 bits client on NT4)

| I remember we solved a read-only WordPerfect problem in the March 97 kit
of the 32 bit client. This means that the fix will propagate to V3.2
DOSWIN, but you would need a new DOSWIN client to get the fix.

2176.5 | Probably solved | tacklr.apd.dec.com::TACK_L | | Wed Apr 02 1997 19:48 | 13 |
| Hello,
If you look at the "caption" in the window and
you see a name with ...(points)
in it than the problem is most probably solved
in the kit at
Location:IJSAPL::DISK$LNX:[KITS.WIN308P.16BIT]W16ENGPL.EXE
Also read the readme file.
