I tried to create an integer attribute which length was 17, but I couldnot. So what is the maximum length for Integer attribute? How can I define an Integer Attribute which length is larger than 10? Cecilia

Cecilia, An Integer is 32 bits. If you express the maximum value (4,xxx,xxx,xxx)for an integer in decimal, it is 10 bytes wide. So you have to think about something else as solution. Can't you use 'Real' ? Regards, Jos | |||||

Jos, Thank you very much for your suggestion. I can use 'Floating point number' as the data type for the numbers between 11-16, but cannot use it for numbers larger than 17. I'll find other solutions for this case. Thank you. Cecilia |
