2130.0. "Right mouse button, Drag & CTRL/Drop, ..." by KETJE::HAENTJENS (Beware of Counterfeit) Tue Feb 18 1997 17:11

    What is our "vision" concerning mouse functions in LinkWorks? In future
    client versions, do we want to come closer to Microsoft standards or
    habits such as the following? --:
    - right button click on object gives (pop-up menu with a.o.)
      properties (About the Object)
    - drag ... ctrl/drop is copy instead of move
    - single click on name allows rename (I hate that one)
    - drag and drop also works in object tree

    Or have we decided never to do this to stay client-platform-neutral?
    (If you say yes to this, I won't believe you...)

2130.1Any plans for right mouse support ?? ATZIS3::atzpc2.aui.dec.com::HUSCHKA_ASIB-OFFICESat Feb 22 1997 09:5015
Hi,

Right mouse button support: Most of our customers are expecting/waiting for this functionality
with the 32-Bit Client. They are now in the process of moving from WFW/WIN 3.1 to WIN95/NT 4.0.

Are there any plans to have right mouse button support or even better having the Microsoft
Backoffice Logo within one of the next releases ?

Please let us know what's going on so we can keep our customers informed.

regards

Yes, we intend to support the new Microsoft features. In V3.2, you will see
that the tree mode is more conform the Windows Explorer. V3.2 client and server
also adhere to the Microsoft logos. Right mouse button support is on the
wishlist for a later release.
