I would appreciate it if someone could please reply with information on how LINKworks on OpenVMS/ALPHA runs vis-a-vis a cluster. 1. Can the mgmt/cell run on the cluster or is it restricted to one node 2. Can a connect be made from the client to a cluster alias 3. What if each node in the cluster has its own system disk 4... Thanks, Cb.

Hi, LinkWorks out-of-the-box has no cluster support. You can instal it on any node of a cluster, but it has to run also on that node. You can have cells on each node . So it behaves as if the systems in the cluster are single systems. There is no fail-over functionality. For one project engineering is working on a fail-over solution. It is not decided yet if this solution will be part of the standard kit and if so when. If you realy need a fail-over solution, please use the normal channels for Engineering Dependancy Requests.
