2374.1 | not just nt | NCMAIL::LEFFLERM | | Thu Apr 17 1997 16:26 | 5 |
| After some experimentation, I find that it is not a NT-only problem. I
have the same issue with win95. Is this a hardware problem? I've tried
win95 drivers from the PCBU site as well as www.chips.com...

Hi Mark,
Assuming the hardware actually does 800x600, I would suggest that you
make sure that you have told the O.S. that your display is an 800x600
LCD panel.
Can't think of anything else at the moment.

2374.3 | virtual desktop | NCMAIL::LEFFLERM | | Fri Apr 18 1997 16:23 | 12 |
| In 95 and NT I have used the desktop properties to switch between the
different screen resolutions. When I size anything higher than 640x480,
the screen becomes a "virtual screen", which allows me to PAN through
800x600, or even 1024x768, but I can only view a "window" that is
640x480.
Let me say that I have installed a dozen or more hinote ultras from
scratch and have never seen this problem. This is the 1st Ultra II I
have worked with- I was wondering if there is something unique here or
if I have a bad display.

2374.4 | CTE 5100 only does VGA 640x480 | IJSAPL::JANSEN_G | | Mon Apr 21 1997 17:47 | 5 |
| You donot happen to have a CTE 5100 model?
This is an entry model (P/N FR-P84WE-A*) and the only one Pentium model
having VGA only 640x480 screen resolution.
