There has been rumours floating around of a new line of
laptop/notebook PC's coming. I suspect when the PCBU is
ready to announce, they will. Till then, it's all hush hush
and under the covers.

| For multimedia, I like the HiNote VP better. (I also prefer the touchpad to
the Ultra's tiny trackball.) The VP is certainly larger and heavier, though.

| It's a tough choice between an UltraII and a top of the range Hinote
VP. I have access to both. The VP is a wonderful machine but it is the
Ultra that gets the looks of admiration when working on airplanes, etc.
I have had many comments about its beautiful profile and practicality.
I usually use it pretty well "naked" - i.e. no media module, no floppy
wedge - that is a true "notebook" and perfect for the very frequent
business traveller.
Unfortunately you cannot order them any more (at least internally)
so I guess the EOL story could be true. I've been forced to go to a
166Mhz Hinote VP575 with onboard MMX - tough business this technology
race!

| For pretty much all of the Ultra II's existance, you couldn't order them
internally. There were some that became available for a short time.
