Hi all, Has anyone encountered problem running a Video CD on a Hinote VP 525 with 8 Mb plus 1GB hard disk. The display is very slow. Tried adding two 16MB RAM but the output of the Video CD is still very slow. The CDROM drive is 6X. I've checked already the swap space. Thanks Jun Hernandez

8MB? Get more memory. I've used several CD-ROMs with a 40MB VP 500 configuration, without noticing major problems. The DSTN display itself is noticably slower than the TFT display, however.
2309.2 | you need IOSUPD.EXE | PCBUOA::FERRANTEV | Wed Mar 05 1997 15:15 | 6
Be sure that you ran the IOSUPD.EXE from Microsoft to replace some of the older DLL. The Xing Player we distributed with the VP545 has the file on the floppy. the file is available from MS on the WEB and it might be up in the VP500 section of the DEC WEB site. I'll check later. Vin |
