2303.0. "FR-PCP79-DA - drivers?" by PTOJJD::DANZAK (Pittsburgher ) Mon Feb 17 1997 11:11

    I have some PCMCIA Digital cards FR-PCP79-DA.
    How can I get the drivers for them? The part
    number does not seem to be indexed on the WEB.
    It indicated that it's an IBM card, but the
    IBM site doesn't seem to have a driver for it
    either for Windows/95.

    Any thoughts/pointers?

    RECALLED all of them.....

    PLEASE see other notes in this file as to how to return them for a
    replacement.

    REPEAT.. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE ..........

    Vin, the base note's FR- part number doesn't match the ones in the
    Richard Glantz memo. Are you sure it applies?

    You're correct Bill but I know of only ONE network card we got from IBM
    and it definitely is not to be used. The note mentioned going to the
    IBM site for new drivers and that worried me. I will check further on
    the part number mentioned.. Recently over 100 of the BAD network cards
    were found inside of DEC and were being used.. This card crashes our
    networks...

    I'll double check the part number with Richard..

2303.5Er, it's a SOUND card - not a NET cardPTOJJD::DANZAKPittsburgher Tue Feb 18 1997 00:197
    Er, this is a 16-bit SOUND card......doesn't do doodly squat for a
    network.

    So...any pointers to this driver?
