2295.0. "Mobile media CDrom drive can't read E-CDs" by NWD002::LEARNEDDE () Tue Feb 04 1997 15:53
Is there anything that can be done to the Hinote Mobile Media dock 6x
CDrom drive that will enable access to the new 'enhanced' CDs? The
enhanced CDs are primarily audio, but have extra data (multimedia
clips, screen savers). If you put one of these in the CDrom drive of
the mobile media dock, you get nothing! The CD audio player thinks it's
a data disk, explorer can't access it at all. I heard that the drive
firmware has to support the multimode Cds. Can we get new firmware?
Thanks,
Dennis
