You should be able to change the monitor type by simply 'Right'
clicking on the desktop, choose Properties and Settings. Then choose
the Change Display Type. The Monitor Type and Change should be
selectable. The correct setting is Standard Monitor Type and Laptop
Display Panel (800x600). Then OK.
This will place your system into 800x600 and fill the screen. The LCD
panel does NOT 'stretch' 640x480 to fill the screen as it would on a
CRT external monitor.
