I have been running Win95 on my HiNote Ultra CT475 for over a year now with no
problem using the following network PCMCIA cards
Digital Ethernet Card FR-PCP78-AD
IBM Credit Card Adapter for Ethernet
Recently I moved from W95 to NT 4.0 (SP1 and SP2) but have not been able to get
the Ultra HiNote connected to the network. When installing NT it does not
recognize either of the network cards (even if the only PCMCIA card that is
plugged in is either one or the other) Thus my questions are:
1) Which driver should be loaded for the Digital Ethernet card?
2) for the IBM card I load the default IBM PCMCIA adapter. At reboot NT
recognizes the IBM card, there are no events in the Event logger, the PCMCIA
applet says that an IBM network card is plugged in, and the device is running
and has been properly configured by the driver, but no one in the network can
ping me, and I can't ping out. Has anyone had this problem?
Like I mentioned, with W95 up to two days ago I had no problems at all with the
cards.
It must be an NT Driver problem or an HiNote Ultra problem since (at least the
IBM card) works fine under NT4.0 on an IBM ThinkPad.
Any suggestions on what to do?
