Hi,
I am trying to get a Tricom Tornado 10/42 modem running with Doom
using sersetup or dm.
It won't work it won't even dial.
I have tried a number of different modem scripts supplied with doom and
not one will work.
Has anybody managed to get this type of modem working.

I managed to get a Tricom Tornado 9600 flavour working with
all games (Doom, Descent, F1GP. Indycar, Nascar, 1942PAW)
with a bit of mucking around.
Biggest sticking point for some was what DTR does.
I havn't got it anymore, but I seem to remember the init
string would be
AT&F&C1&D2 or for Indycar AT&F^M~~~AT&C1&D2^M with also the
swithes to turn off error correction and compression , can't
remember the ones for Tricom, but my USR needs &K0&M0
Also if your's is the 14,400 one? then some command to set it
to 14,400 like &N8 or equivalent, also some games need the
commend echo turning off or they screw up, that is E0 I think.
