100.1Help - I'm souless!RT93::MCDONALDJWish I were here...Fri Nov 04 1994 12:4514
    Does anyone know how to get to the soul sphere that's in the building
    right in front of you when you start the level? I've killed all of the
    bad guys, but I can't seem to get access to the building.

    Also, in the first building to the left (the one the large arrow on the
    ground points to), there's a teleporter on top of one of the crates off
    to your left as you drop into the room. I can't figure out how to get
    up to it. Is it the one that leads you to the building with the soul
    sphere?

    Thanx.

    John

100.2You need to runDLJ::JENNINGSWe has met the enemy, and he is us. -- PogoSat Nov 05 1994 09:314
    Well, basically you run. But before you run you need to get to the
    teleporter in the building to the left. There's a hidden switch in
    there that you have to find and activate to get access to the
    teleporter. Once you've done that, it's pretty apparent.
100.3LARVAE::GILBERTLMon Nov 14 1994 13:134
    I've got the blue and red keys and I'm in the building that the red key
    opens (down by the start position). There is an elevator in there that
    goes up and down (they do tend to I supose :-)), but it doesn't go high
    enough to allow me to jump off onto the highest ledge to get the hest}blue
100.4Yellow KeyLARVAE::GILBERTLMon Nov 14 1994 13:2511
    Sorry, I meant to put that I can't reach the YELLOW key from the
    elevator.

    Also, I can't find the switch to the transport on top of the crate in
    the packing crate room either (there is a sort of hidden door to an
    alley behind some crates)

    YES, I need help.

    Well, I had no problem jumping (theres that word again) off the
    elevator at it's height onto the platform with the Yellow key.
    It should rise almost all the way to the ceiling, albeit a bit slowly.

    second question spoiler

    Behind the crates with the teleporter on top, one of the crates between
    the stack and the wall will lower if you "open" it (eg: use space bar)
    reveling the switch.

    Has anyone figured out a use for the back "alley" here? A door opens
    up on to an area with a few meager supplies and it doesn't seem to lead
    anywhere.

    	Dave.
100.6ThanksLARVAE::GILBERTLWed Nov 16 1994 07:507
    Thanks Dave. My elevator seems stuck at only going up to three-quarter
    height, but I feel justified now in doing an idclip to walk in and get
    the key. Must be a slight glitch.

    The transporter info appreciated, that's what I missed. :-)

    Lawrence.
100.7I don't like this level - it's jerky, for one thing!FORTY2::HOWELLJust get to the point...Wed Nov 23 1994 11:3315
    Cripes this level's a bit on the tough side.

    As for that alley, I found no use for it, but by heck I needed the
    medikit in there.

    I'm rapidly running out of ammo and health and armour on this level. I
    think I also need to get to that blue megasphere. <ulp>.

    Where's there a nice big stack of ammo in this level, anywhere? I think
    maybe Ill have to nab that invulnerability so that I can clear the room
    in the house with a rocket launcher on a pedestal - as soon as you take
    it, loads of pinkies come after me. I fancy a good chainsawing session
    ....

    Did it (in the end). Phew. Now onto Industrial zone.... and I thought
    _this_ level was a peux difficile... :-)

    the same thing happened to me... i need to restore the game and try
    again and then it worked ok.

100.10Most jerky / slow level I've played yet!! Why??MKOTS3::PARENTThu Apr 27 1995 10:037
    I'm new here!! I think this game is the b@lls, Although I found this
    level to be bogged down, I move real jerky, had to shut things down, to
    play it at a moderate speed, all other levels I've played were pretty
    quick and smooth. I hope this is the only one like this!! Are there
    others that are this jerky?? I'm playing in a smaller screen, with
    hardly any music or FX and its BAD, although Its' got tons of thinks to
    do in it, I was even squashed to death. I have a headache!!
100.11FORTY2::HOWELLJust get to the point ...Thu Apr 27 1995 10:168
    Downtown is one of the worse ones, because of the complex level layout
    and lots of things in the 'line-of-sight' most of the time.
    Unfortunately there are later levels that are just this bad.

    What machine are you playing on, then?

    Cheers,
    Dan
100.12DECstation 320sxMKOTS3::PARENTEat life, or Life eats you!!Thu Apr 27 1995 11:1210
    I'm playing on a DECstation 320sx 4 meg ram, 125 meg hard drive.

    I figured it to be slow do to the detail in graphics...
    but what do I know?? :)

    Thanks

    Question?? Do the levels get harder (bigger/tougher monsters) from
    here or do the complexity levels get harder?? Just curious!! A
    "GREAT" game nevertheless!!

RE: <<< Note 100.12 by MKOTS3::PARENT "Eat life, or Life eats you!!" >>>

    I'm playing on a DECstation 320sx 4 meg ram, 125 meg hard drive.

    I think you should be grateful you can play at all on that! It's very
    "minimal"; I'd say a 486SX-25 and VLB graphics is the minimum sensible
    level.

    Cheers, Laurie.
