| I'm a new Doomer and must be either a mental midget or my version is
corrupted. I cannot for the life of me get pass level 2. I have killed
everything on all floors (even the creatures behind the columns) but
after everything is dead I just walk into walls trying to get out!!!!
I most be missing the big picture can someone help before I throw my PC
out the window.

| Relax... someone will help you.... that's why we're here.
... I don't have my book with me and I don't remember that level..
so stay cool, ... maybe I'll just install my Doom II on my office
system... yeah! that's the ticket!

89.3 | here's some hints | DAVE::MITTON | Token rings happen | Mon Oct 24 1994 20:16 | 14 |
| How far have you gotten with this level?
Have you only seen two rooms?
I was stumped myself for a little bit, then I discovered that I could
open the room with the plain bars on the left or SE end of the hall.
The switch in that room controls a door in the starting room.
Doom rule #3; when in doubt, try to open it.
Actually the Automap gives some healthy clues. I've noticed that if
there is a secret door in a room, the Automap will color it yellow
or brown.

89.5 | How do I JUMP up to the key? | ROMEOS::HARRIS_MA | Sales Consultant | Wed Nov 02 1994 12:01 | 5 |
| OK, I've also killed everything, hit the switche in the left red-bar
room, went around and then I could 'see' the RED KEY. It seems to be
unreachable since it's elevated. How do I JUMP up to get the key?

89.6 | No Jumping! | DAVE::MITTON | Token rings happen | Wed Nov 02 1994 18:31 | 7 |
| There is no "Jump Up" in Doom. The only "jumping" is running (SHIFT
side arrow) off of things and landing on something nearby and/or lower.
Try skirting around that room to the left and you will find an
opportunity to practice this new technique.
Dave.
