| Where exactly is the trigger for the room with the rocket launcher?
Some times I get it, other times not.
Hints: you should come out of this level with:
Chainsaw, Shotgun (duh), Armor, and a Rocket launcher
Dave.

| In the room with the elevated platforms there are two switches located
on the sides of the platforms themselves. The one on your left as you
walk into the room will lower the platforms, permanantly hiding the
switch on the right. The one on the right platform is the one that
opens the secret room off the octagonal room at the end of the hall.
Hit the one on the right first, then the one on the left.

88.3 | Ooops. Wrong secret. | RT93::MCDONALDJ | Wish I were here... | Thu Oct 20 1994 15:18 | 17 |
| Ooops... My mistake. The switch on the right platform opens the secret
room in that same room. There's a different switch for the room with
the missle launcher:
In the room with the caged beast and the window to the outside is a
switch on the wall that lowers a platform. Clear out the bad guy and
then ride the platform up. The back wall at the top is another secret
door with a beastie inside. After you clear him (or her, I can never
tell) out, step back out onto the first platform. Hold the shift key
and run forward. You'll land on one of the lighted pedastals in the
room. This is the switch to open the secret room with the missle
launcher, which is located in the octagonal room that had all of the
health potions in it.

| Hate to say it, but 88.3 doesn't seem to work on mine. The door never
opens under any circumstances.

Level 1 thickkie questions needs answering pls....
1 I have only once got the chainsaw/by accident I presume. Can't
figure out how to do it.
2 In the room with caged beastie and platform, Ride the platform
and behind it is another switch (already green) what does this do
I have done both ways - leave it green and search around - hit it
make it red and search with no further joy ?????,.
OH hang on I think its come to me ... possible spoiler alert...
Do I leave the 2nd sw green, jump onto the second platform from
the stairs which opens the door to the chainsaw ?????????,.

88.6 | Chainsaw is behind you! | FORTY2::HOWELL | Just get to the point... | Mon Nov 28 1994 08:11 | 12 |
| The chainsaw is easy....
At the start point, most people step forward. Mistake number one. If
you turn around and look behind you, there's a passageway leading
outside where, voila, there is a chainsaw.
Once you've stepped forward of your starting point, you fall off a
small ledge, so you can't get back to the chainsaw without re-starting.

Dan

| I'm not totally up on level one, but the secret areas I remember are :-
o A corner of the tech room opend up to reveal some armour
o The switch in the imps room opens a door in the same room, which
leads outside where you will find a shotgun and some ammo.
o A small secret wall in the imps room which, as far as I can
remember, holds nothing important.
o A secret opening in the small alcove filled with blue bottles.
I'll leave it to you to find out how to get them :-)

| The secret wall in the imp's room contains a first aid pack, and
depending on the level one's playing at, something(s) rather more
dangerous to health!
The rest is accurate.
Cheers, Laurie.
