Hi all, I'm new with pc and with Doom. I have read your note but I'm bit confused and I have some question: 1) Doom is a shareware game or not? 2) What are the .wad files? 3) Where does they come from? 4) What are all the files we can find on our net and Doom 1.4 is a demo or playable version? 5) Which is the difference between the shareware version and the registered version? Excuse me for my "ignorance" :^) Andrea

See note 54.1, it should answer all your questions, but briefly One version is shareware, a fully version is not WAD files are add ons to give you different levels. Only work with registered version They come from people who invent the, The Doom file on our net are either the full shareware version or a patch to upgrade the registered version. Hope this helps, but honestly, read the FAQ!! |
