So how do you get to the area that contains the blue key? I've been
through all of the rest of the level, been through the star room to the
door that needs the blue key. It looks like there are two entrances,
one across the green slime in the court yard, and the "secret" door at
the left side of the court yard. What did I miss?

To answer my own question, the switch is very obvious, I just got so
wrapped up in staying alive at that point that I forgot to hit the
switch. :-)
