417.0. "Goodbye" by RIPPLE::KOTTERRI () Thu Dec 17 1992 10:31

The time has come to say goodbye to many of my friends and associates
at Digital. I will be leaving Digital this week, due to the ongoing
    downsizing effort in the company.

I want to say thanks for the part played by all of my friends and
acquantances in Digital in making the past nine years in sales at
Digital very rewarding to me. I'm especially grateful for all of the
help and support that I received from the all of you in this
conference, and many other conferences. It has been some time since I
have had the time to participate actively in this conference, but I was
once a moderator of this conference, and thought some of you might like
to know of my leaving. My testimony of the truthfulness of the restored
gospel continues to grow. I have faith that God will bless each of us,
as we serve him in righteousness.

I'm grateful for the good times we had together, and for the
challenges that we faced together. Those of us who are leaving will
have a whole new set of challenges to face. You who remain must carry
on the challenge to make Digital successful. I wish the best to both
those who go and those who stay. I also want to wish you a Merry
Christmas, as well as a Happy and prosperous New Year.

Our paths may cross again, and I hope they do. If I may be of any
assistance to you or if you have any need to contact me, please do so.

    Rich,

Although I can usually come up with a response for most notes (but not
posted) this one is extremely hard for me to reply to. You have been a
great source of inspiration for me. I really like your note about last
Monday's Family Home Evening in DIGITAL. I know that Heavenly Father
will watch out for you and your family in the comming months.

    Thanks and take care,

Rich,

We came into the conference together, and it looks like we can go out
together, although for different reasons. My last day with DEC is next
Wednesday the 23rd. I'm leaving via the Engineers into Education Program
so I can become a teacher of computer science & math. On January 4th, I'll
be in Salt Lake City in school at Westminster College getting certified. For
those in the SLC area, I can be reached at 484-2313.

As I think back over the years since you and I started this conference, it
has been a fun time. We've made a lot of friends, have shared a lot of
testimonies, and have grown closer to the Lord. The past 16 years, since I
moved from Phoenix to New England, have been wonderful for me and my family.
I marvel at the goodness of the Lord to us. Boy, what a wonderful life!

Changes, such as you and I are making, are hard. We don't know what the
future will bring, but if we let the Lord's will be done, the future will be
best for us. Changes are a step upward.

Rich, I've really enjoyed the sharing of our views and experiences about the
Gospel, and I appreciate your influence in my life. Thanks!

And, thanks to all of you who have shared of yourselves via this conference!

I certainly appreciate all that both of you have given to this
conference. I wish you both the very best. If I can be of any
assistance, I am listed in the phone book in Mesa Arizona.

    Rich, Allen,

I am sorry to see both of you going.

I would like to thank both of you for the very positive influence
you have had in my life. I feel that I am a better person for
having known you (whether in this conference or in person).

I would like to wish you both well on your journey through life.
I am sure that our Heavenly Father will continue to bless your
lives. I also feel strongly that what appears to be a momentary
set-back will open up other avenues of opportunities that previously
    may not have been available.

    Please keep in touch.

    Take care,

Thank you all for the kind wishes.

Allen, I wish you the very best, as well, in your new endeavors. I
greatly enjoyed the time that I spent with you in putting together the
Mormonism conference. One of the highlights of my time at Digital was
the chance that I got to visit you in your home and to meet your
family, when I was there on a trip. You have been an inspiration to me
    in many ways.

    God Bless,
    Rich

I, too, wish to add my words of appreciation for your support of
this conference. You have added intelligence, compassion and worth
to the many "discussions" entered here.

My best wishes for your continued growth and contribution.
