33.0. "Directions to LDS buildings" by CLIMB::LEIGH (Blessed are the merciful;) Thu Mar 16 1989 14:58

From time to time, someone posts directions to the LDS chapel in his or
her area. I thought I would create a note so those directions would be
permanently available.

As a suggestion, put the name of the city or town in the title to
the reply with the name of the ward(s) in parenthesis. This will allow one
to scan the titles to find a desired building.

33.1Littleton, MA (Littleton 1st & 2nd Wards)CLIMB::LEIGHBlessed are the merciful;Thu Mar 16 1989 16:115
The Littleton, MA 1st and 2nd Wards (Nashua NH Stake) meet in a building
that is located about 1 1/2 miles west of I495 on Rt. 119. The building is
on your left if you are going away from I495, and it is in the corner of a
large field. It has a high tower that is on the ground instead of on the
roof, and it is the only church in that area.
33.3Atlanta Temple / Sandy Springs GA WardFSTRCK::ROLLINSThu Mar 16 1989 18:5215
    The Atlanta Temple is in Sandy Springs, a suburb north of the city
    of Atlanta. Take I-75 or I-85 to get into the city of Atlanta, until
    you get to I-285, the beltway around Atlanta. If coming from the south,
    go north on 285 until you come to the exit for GA Hwy 400. If coming
    from the north on 75, go east when you get to I-285; if coming from
    the north on I-85, go west to Hwy 400. Go north on Hwy 400 to exit 2B -
    it exits west onto Abernathy Road towards Sandy Springs. You will come
    to a set off stop lights immediately as you pass under the highway;
    at the next set of lights turn left onto Barfield Road. The temple is
    the first building on the right.

    To get to the Sandy Springs chapel, which lies to the rear of the temple
    on the same lot, do not turn at Barfield Road, but continue to the next
    left hand turn (Glenridge Drive) and turn left. The Sandy Springs Ward
    building will be on the left.
33.4Billerica Ward/Lowell Branch, MASMURF::SOUSAFri Mar 17 1989 13:5532
    The Billerica, MA meetinghouse, which is also temporarily housing
    the newly formed Lowell, MA Branch is located on Concord Road,
    Billerica, MA. It is situated next to a funeral home (Sweeney
    Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Road) and is set back just a few
    feet from the road. It is located just about 1/2 mile out of
    Billerica Center. When entering Billerica Center you'll see a
    'common' (grassy plot) in the middle. Concord Road is to the
    right of this common. The meetinghouse is on your left just about
    1/2 mile past this point. If coming from Rt. 3 South, get off at
    exit 27 (Concord Road) and turn right as you get off the exit ramp.
    You are now on Concord Road. The meetinghouse is about one mile
    ahead and will be on your right. There is a sharp curve in the
    road so you must slow down or you'll miss the meetinghouse. It comes
    up on you fast from this entrance.

    The Billerica Ward meets from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    The Lowell Branch meets from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm

    The Lowell Branch has been newly formed and serves the Asian brothers
    and sisters in the area. Sacrament meeting is spoken in English and
    is translated in the native Asian language throughout the meeting.

    Just four weeks ago, I was blessed to be called to serve a two year
    Stake Mission in the Lowell Branch. The field is white, already to
    harvest...........15,000 Asians have immigrated into Lowell in the past
    year. Each week there are at least ten baptisms in the Lowell Branch.
    Our Asian immigrant brothers and sisters are starving for the gospel
    and when the Missionaries teach them, they joyfully enter the waters of
    baptism and partake of the truth.

33.8Dallas TempleCANYON::LENFLen F. Winmill @TFO, DTN 566-4783Wed Oct 16 1991 15:4512
    Lacking any other info, Drop by or call the visitor's center at the
    Temple there. I do not remember it's address but it is in the north
    central area, out of the main part of the city. (if my memory serves).

    I got to visit there once, it is a nice (small) temple, but one thing
    suprized me, it is not visible from a long distance, there were some
    Very large trees that hid it from the main road nearby.

    Hope you enjoy Dallas.

33.2Marlboro (MA) WardCAPNET::RONDINAFri Feb 14 1992 14:1617
    The town of Westboro meets in the Marlboro Chapel, which is somewhat
    nearby. Marlboro Chapel is located on Wilson St, which is off Rt. 20
    heading east. Wilson St. is at the east end of Marlboro. Depending
    where in Westboro you are,, I would say to take Rt 495 North, exit at
    the Rt 20 East exit. Then go roughly 5-6 miles. Wilson St. will be on
    your left. The Marlboro Cinema is about on the right one block before
    Wilson St. Turn left on Wilson. Go to end. At stop sign, Chapel will be
    facing you. It is located down in a "hollow" and is a modern one,
    meaning it doen't look like a church.

    Meeting Schedule:

    Sacrament Meeting: 9:30
    Sunday School: 10:45
    Priesthood/Relief Soc.: 11:45-12:30

33.12Hingham, MAROCK::LEIGHFeed My SheepSun Jul 19 1992 14:5710
Directions to the Hingham (MA) building are as follows:

Take Route 3 south of Boston. Take exit 14 off of Rt. 3 and turn left at the
bottom of the ramp. Go under the expressway and then take the first left onto
Gardner street. This left is before the light you see ahead of you. The
chapel is about 1/2 mile up the hill on hour left.

If you are coming from the west, you can take Rt. 128 (I95) South to the
end where it melts into I93 North. After just a few miles you will come
to Rt. 3.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Weston Ward is fairly easy to find from Rte 20. If you are heading
    east on Rte 20 (you didn't mention your starting point, so I will
    assume it is somewhere east of Rte 495), follow Rte 20 through
    Marlboro, Sudbury and into Wayland. At stoplight in Wayland which is
    intersection of Rts 20 and 27, take right onto Rte 27. Follow Rte 27
    until it intersects Rte 30, take left onto RTe 30. Go about 5 miles
    and Church will be on your right. It is a yellow brick building done
    in a 60's "modern" style. There is a sign on the lawn which you cannot
    miss. If you make a mistake and pass it you will probably go another 4
    miles and run into RT 128. IN that case turn around, go 4 miles and
    bingo there it will be.

    If you are coming in from another direction, let me know.

    Be sure to keep you eye out for the building. It's off the road a bit,
    so it's easy to drive by. The Rt. 2 to Rt. 128 to Rt. 30 works okay,
    too. Rt. 20 from 495 can be a bear to drive sometimes.

    Yup, if coming from the Northwest, Rte 2 to Rte 128 (south) to
    Rte 30 (West) is a quicker way. If coming from the West,So Mass PIke to
    Rte 128 (north) to Rte 30 WEst is quicker, but a little longer.
    Depends which direction you are coming from. Using Rte 20 is as Steve
    says, stop and go through at least 3 towns with some heavy traffic.
