I have just had some great news and I wanted to share with everyone. My mother in law and my father in law have set the date of 11-30-88 to be sealed together for all time and eternity in the Los Angeles temple. This is a very exciting event, in that they have been working hard to obtain this goal and have come a very long way. While they have always been LDS, they have been inactive for many many years and both had a lot of changes to undergo to achieve this. It is something we have prayed for. My husband and I were sealed to each other only last October 17, 1987. We were the first in our families and hope to set a trend. My parents have just begun their Project Temple and our brothers and sisters on both sides are watching closely. Imagine the joy to have all our family sealed together. It is not an impossible goal. We believe that even the most unreachable truly want to find the Light of Christ. Don't let your faith fail you It can happen.

First of all, they were both heavy smokers and drank considerable amounts of coffee, they also drank (liquor). Second, they were not active in attendance of meetings, and they were not what you would call devout in what they believed. I'm sure that deep down inside they believed but they did not practice living the gospel. Lastly, they were very critical of what they considered "SUNDAY MORMONS ONLY". They did not want to be hippocrits themselves so they sort of had a falling out. In this sense they have come full circle and from what I understand, they will set an excellent example to those in their ward. People can change if they see the light. While they were not wicked, they certainly have improved their lifestyles. I am very proud of them. Louise | |||||
