This may be asked elsewhere, but my searches produced no indication
of it. The Moderator(s) should feel free to move this elsewhere if
appropriate.

I was wondering what specific books, talks, etc. exist that discuss
the Dead Sea Scrolls. What are the authoritative works? And what has
been written with a Mormon point of view?

I've found some of what Nibley has said, but only in bits and
pieces. Has he written anything that is primarily about the Scrolls?

Thanks for any info.

161.4the tapes are good, but there is a caveat ...MIZZOU::SHERMANsocialism doesn't work ...Wed Sep 07 1988 16:309
    My understanding, if you'll pardon the informality, is that Einar
    Erickson is not very credible as an archaeologist. Basically, he
    picks and chooses theories about the writings and interprets them with
    a strong bias toward the Scriptures. It is interesting to hear the tapes,
    and the points made could be valid. But, the processes used, resulting
    conclusions and other claims made would not, in my opinion, hold up
    well in a scientific forum.
