Subj: Re: ObjectBroker field test status
Over all I was happy with the implementation. Our testing was mainly on
failure senarios. Crashing a server, while the client was making a deposit and
then restarting the server making sure that deposit was successfully made.
Crashing the client, etc.
Suggestions.
1. Buld a C++ example. People using CORBA in the financial community are
using C++ more than C for new CORBA projects. They want C++
2. Quick Start needs to generate code for the DMQ interface. Getting right the
location of the DMQ extensions is difficult. The quick start should include
options for setting:
delivery mode
priority
duplicates
queues to use
3. Better manuals.
4. Need a DMQ quick install kit so people starting out don't have to learn DMQ.
You just install this DMQ & OBB kit on the client and server and it lets you
start using CORBA/DMQ examples without having to look at the DMQ configuration
(the quick-quick start). It should be pre-configured with MRS, BUS 432, and a
client queue and server queue.
5. Java to OBB hooks (with quick start -java)
