What is the file in the .OA directory called USERNAME.CTX used for? It stores the PASTE buffers and rulers for the WPS and EDT editors. What harm is done if this is deleted? Does it get recreated as its needed? If you delete it, ALL-IN-1 just creates a new one the next time you use one of those editors. BTW, the help in the EDT editor is wrong for the saving a ruler. The help text from WPS is correct. Do you have some user who cut out 40K blocks and then wonders where all his quota went? If he/she just cuts something else into that buffer, ALL-IN-1 will delete all the extra blocks. Ben | |||||

thanks ben. i had some users who had .CTX file from 1985. it only used 1 block out of 3400 allocated. so they wanted to clean up some of their unused space and saw these files. couldn't find anything in any books on it. ann |
