ALL-IN-1 V3.0-1, VMS V5.5-2 User sent first class mail to 3 other local users. Only one of the addressees received the message. - EM SH on the sender and recipients copy appears to be correct with correct distribution - Sending user doesn't recall any oddities or messages at time of sending - No record for this message appears in OA$MTI_LOG - OA$MTI_ERR contains several of the 'device offline or unavailable' errors from around the time of the problem I have seen the last error before and this was caused by serious fragmentation of the SDAF(s). I have asked the customer to check this. This is a large (approx 3000 subscriber) mail system and this type of occurance without explanation worries them. Any ideas? Thanks Aston UK CSC

re -.1 device unavailable usually means a disk drive that is used by the shared area that ALL-IN-1 was trying to write to is no longer there. I would check ALL logical shared areas, make sure they point to "healthy" devices. And, make sure your "healthy" devices can be written to. -Mike Z. | |||||
