I'm not sure I understand what you are asking.
If you are asking what the differences in the CM sub-system are then the
most obvious things that spring to mind are;
- New concept of application areas
- Easier modification of message symbols
- More supported element types
- application "packaging"
- additional level of management (i.e. Maintainer)
- DEBUG function
If you are asking what the differences in programming functions, dsabs etc
are then I could go on all day! But a few that come to mind are...
- new "standard syntax" for some functions
- DISPLAY function changed
- New lexical functions
- Script symbiont
There are buckets more...

4304.3 | Look in Application Programming books | IOSG::MARSHALL | A glitch in reality | Tue Jul 05 1994 17:22 | 9 |
| There aren't many differences for existing functions and script directives.
However, there are many new features in V3.0. The best thing to do is read the
Application Programming books (Guide, Reference Volumes 1 and 2). These are on
Bookreader if you don't have access to paper copies.
There are far too many new features to list detailed examples here!

4304.5 | Yes - Run the CART. | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Fri Jul 08 1994 12:48 | 10 |
| Yes, in almost all cases, existing code will contiune to work.
You should run the CART tool from the installation on your system to
find out if there are any customisations that yopu might need to remove
or update.
Of course you may need to change things to take advantage of new
features like Drawers.
