| Message Router does not support MTA-level distribution lists (cf X4.00). So you
can't send an unexpanded distribution list on a message. When you create a
message in ALL-IN-1 and add a distribution list to it, ALL-IN-1 expands the
distribution list before sending the message. This is not restricted to
ALL-IN-1, all user agents using Message Router must do this.
It is up to the recipient's MTA/UA to decide whether to keep/display the whole
distribution list; generally speaking they are supposed to. ALL-IN-1 provides
neat features like displaying long addressee lists after the message, rather
than before it, and with V3.1 you can turn off the display of long addressee
lists entirely. Unfortunately not all user agents are this wonderful :-)
As for whether there is a fix, it sounds like the application on the MAC is
broken and needs fixing, if it hangs with a long addressee list. All other
components in the chain are just doing what they are supposed to do!
