4288.0. "can't modify a symbol value in SITE$OA" by CSCRIO::VALERIA () Thu Jun 23 1994 14:40
Hi,
I have a customer with a problem in ALL-IN-1 3.0A.
I modified one symbol (OA$_MO_NOTES_MOD_ADD_MEMBER) to another value, but I
can't use the option with the new value...
I did the same thing with my machine and it's ok... but...
She upgraded ALL-IN-1 v2.3 (portuguese language) to v3.0 ("brazilian" language)
and I don't know if it is the problem...
I did the following steps in ALL-IN-1 :
- Selected OA$SITE, copied to development area, altered the file and moved to
live area;
- Compiled and installed with the option CMF;
- Compiled and installed the form library which calls the symbol.
When I do :
<GET OA$_MO_NOTES_MOD_ADD_MEMBER
the symbol shows the changed value, but when I enter the option I receive the
message : "invalid choice"
Any idea ??
Thanks for any help,
Valria.

| Hi,
Go to form GPC and the form OAN$MODMENU which has the add member
option. Press CTRL/N to see the Named Data. At the top it will tell you
the forms library it is using. Check that this is the one you compiled.
Go down the Named Data and you will see ;;OA$_MO_NOTES_MOD_ADD_MEMBER;;
followed by its translation.
Cheers

4288.2 | any "Portuguese" pointers left? | FRAMBO::HOFMANN | Stefan Hofmann, IST FiWi @FRS | Thu Jun 23 1994 17:50 | 4 |
| You should also check if you have any remaining "Portuguese" entries in
your configuration. Maybe one logical points to the wrong directory and
will never find your "Brazilian" changes.
