| How is the customer using ALL-IN-1 v3.1, because it hasn't been shipped yet?
What version of ALL-IN-1 is being used?
What is the Data Type and Handling of the document being printed?
What is the definintion of the LN03 and DECLASER Format styles?

4261.3 | papre trays | BELFST::HARTE | Karen Harte | Wed Jun 15 1994 17:52 | 8 |
| The data type he uses is automatic=ansi.
His tray setting is NOTRAY
Also he has an LN06 with front and rear paper trays and if he prints to
it using DECLASER format style he does not get the END-OF-JOB page with
the setpapertray message.
Any ideas?

4261.4 | Data type of the document | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO2-G/L2 | Wed Jun 15 1994 18:03 | 6 |
| I still need to know the Data Type and Handling of the document, which
controls how ALL-IN-1 formats the document. This information is displayed
when you select a document and do Gold-V(iew).

4261.5 | data type and handling | BELFST::HARTE | Karen Harte | Thu Jun 16 1994 10:32 | 12 |

Hi Richard ,
The data type is WPSPLUS and there is nothing in the handling field.
It is an ALL-IN-1 v3.0 starter Kit which has been installed so the format
styles for the LN03 and DECLASER will be the defaults for this.
Is this any help?

4261.6 | So it's WPS-PLUS and not ANSI | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO2-G/L2 | Thu Jun 16 1994 14:52 | 29 |
| You said in .0 that an ANSI document is being printed, but .5 contradicts
this because it is a WPS-PLUS document. ALL-IN-1 will format this WPS-PLUS
document with the WPS-PLUS formatter. (Now you know why I always ask these
questions when looking at Print problems :-) )
What are the WPS-PLUS Print Settings of the WPS-PLUS document. These will
be displayed by:
1. Selcting and Printing the document.
2. Pressing NEXT-SCREEN on the 'Printing Document' menu.
3. Selecting PG (Change pagination settings) from the 'WPS-PLUS
Formatter Print Settings Menu'
What is the 'Sheet feeder tray:' value?
What type of files were you able to print succesfully from VMS? My guess
is that these are simple ASCII files which do not contain printer control
sequences. The listing files created by the WPS-PLUS formatter will contain
printer control sequences, and this is probably the cause of the
differences seen from VMS and ALL-IN-1. The type of file being printed is
the significant difference, and not from where the print operation is being
performed.
