4249.0. "ALL-IN-1 install - MR IVP fail" by TLAV01::ORAPINL () Sun Jun 12 1994 04:10

    Hello,

I installed Message Router version 3.3, Message Router VMSmail Gateway
    version 3.3, and ALL-IN-1 version 3.0 on VMS 6.0. I got ALL-IN-1 IVP
failed in MR verification. Error message displayed like this

Verifying ALL-IN-1's interface with Message Router.
    --------------------------------------------------

Lowest valid version of MR is V3.
Your current version of MR is MR V3.3-310.
    MR version correct.
No MR Mailbox entry called A1 could be found for ALL-IN-1 in the local
     message router.
    Message Router IVP has FAILED.
    End of Message Router IVP.

! Finished verifying Mail Directory and MR.

    .
    .
    %A1IVP-W-IVPPFAIL,The IVPs for ALL-IN-1 V3.0 have failed.

    ....

I have checked from ALLIN1_IVP.LOG. I see the error as follow :-

    .
    .
The Mail Directory useragent entry for ALL-IN-1 which matched is
     OA$RCCVAX$ALLIN1
    Mail Directory verification has PASSED.
    Starting MR verification.
    MR verification has FAILED.
    .
    .

    My question is :
    	1) I test MR IVP is passed. What else should I check?
    	2) What cause of this error?
        3) Please suggest us anything about this.

    Thanks advance so much.

right at the top of what you posted it says that there is no A1 mailbox

    when you type MC MRMAN
    SHOW A1
    you probably don't see anything.

add an A1 mailbox using the procedure outlined in the Mail Management
Guide and then see if the IVP runs

Or you could be running into a VMS V6 problem where a SEARCH in the
subprocess in a batch job doesn't work real well. If you do have an A1
mailbox, try rerunning the IVP from the menu.
