4240.1 | CALANDER CANCEL APPOINTMENT maybe the cause of prob. | GIDDAY::SETHI | Better to ask a question than remain ignorant | Thu Jun 09 1994 08:48 | 16 |
| Hi All,
It look like the problem has been caused by the CALANDER CANCEL
APPOINTMENT function. This function does not check to see if the user
no longer exists (entry in profile.dat or network.dat) then delete task
or event. It would be nice if it did delete the entry.
I know that this is not the offcial forum to report problems I just
wanted to let people know what caused this problem. If someone can
confirm this it would be nice. With TM sub-system being not getting
the attention/focus as it may have in the past is it worth my while
escalating this problem via IPTM (P3) ?
Regards,
Sunil

| Sunil,
Can you confirm that the customer is using the XD options from
the Index of EVENTS (not tasks) i.e. on form TMEVINDEX?
Regards,
Jonathan.

4240.5 | It's from the index of events | GIDDAY::SETHI | Better to ask a question than remain ignorant | Wed Jun 15 1994 04:03 | 16 |
| Hi Jonathan,
>Can you confirm that the customer is using the XD options from
>the Index of EVENTS (not tasks) i.e. on form TMEVINDEX?
I can confirm that the above is the case. The customer does not have
any ASSET's or 3rd party software integrated into TM sub-system, the system
is hardly customised. The customisations are of cosmatic nature ie MAIN
screen say KRAFT FOODS etc., they do have WordPerfect integrated.
Sorry for the confusion I hardly ever use the TM sub-system !!!!

Sunil

4240.6 | | AIMTEC::ZANIEWSKI_D | Why would CSC specialists need training? | Wed Jun 15 1994 13:42 | 8 |
| Definitely not fixed in the next release. I've just reviewed an
SPR response stating this wasn't going to be fixed, even though
suggested code changes to eliminate about 50% of the problems
were included.
I've tested the cases the SPR suggested fixes for.

4240.7 | Have supplied SOME aid | IOSG::PARTONJ | I'll name that tune in 666 notes | Wed Jun 15 1994 15:19 | 8 |
| Dave,
I've supplied Sunil with a workaround (change to TMSEVXD.SCP as
per V3.1) - we'll see whether the customer is satisfied with the
results of this. In the meantime, can you supply me with any details of
the 50% not fixed?
Jonathan.

4240.9 | customer feedback | GIDDAY::SETHI | Better to ask a question than remain ignorant | Wed Jun 22 1994 02:25 | 18 |
| Hi Jonathan,
The customer has given me additional information that maybe of some
help.
%OA-W-CMNOATND, Cannot locate attendee entry in attendee file
The customer has clarified the point now and has stated that if a user
was deleted from the system and still has an entry then the above message
is displayed. The looping problem goes away but other entries in the list
do not get deleted. So the customer still has a problem but it's not as bad
as before the customer's annoyance factor has gone down by a lot. The
customer just skips over the bad entries.
Regards,
Sunil
