4226.0. "sharable images not installed" by HALIBT::MCCANTA (Jay, DTN 545-4157/SEO-141) Fri Jun 03 1994 01:24

    I have ALL-IN-1 V3.0-1 and VMS V6.0 with ALL-IN-1 Personal Assistant
    V?? Whenever I first touch EM or WP, I get the following message...

     %SYSTEM-W-PRIVINSTALL, shareable images must be installed to run
    	privileged  image
     %OA-W-EMDDSNOINIT, An error has occurred initializing the mail
    	directory

    How do I determine what sharable image isn't installed?

4226.1Some questions for you !!!GIDDAY::SETHIBetter to ask a question than remain ignorantFri Jun 03 1994 04:519
    Hi,

    Do you use DDS ? Did you relink ALL-IN-1 and adopted the mail directory
    or did you change the OA$DDS_PRIME logical ? Did you start DDS before
    starting up ALL-IN-1 IOS ?

    Regards,

4226.2How to troubleshoot this oneAIMTEC::WICKS_AAtlanta's Most (In)famous WelshmanFri Jun 03 1994 05:267
    to determine what file it is do
    $SET WATCH FILE/CLASS=(MAJOR,NOALL) before entering ALL-IN-1 and then
    watch the file accesses when you type EM.

4226.3More about SET WATCH FILE - need privsIOSG::SHOVEDave Shove -- REO2-G/M6Fri Jun 03 1994 15:3510
    Note that you need VMS privilege to execute the $SET WATCH FILE command
    (and also note the lack of an "S" on the end of FILE !)

    It's CMKRNL you need. (You can turn the privs off again after executing the
    $SET WATCH command - useful if you're having problems accessing files due
    to privs).

    Note also the bizarre syntax to turn the SET WATCH off again:

    $SET WATCH FILE/CLASS=NONE
