4198.0. "ALL-IN-1 Mail Janitor problem" by TLAV02::THITINUN () Tue May 24 1994 12:16

    Hello,

    I have problem with ALL-IN-1 Mail Janitor Job. My ALL-IN-1 is V2.4 .

    On my ALL-IN-1 System, I set to run ALL-IN-1 Janitor every Friday morning.
    And I set to clean mails that older than 90 days.

    I've got the problem on Friday 20-May-94. My some users that the first
    character name begin with "T" thru "W" (about 50 user accounts) receive
    mail "ALL-IN-1 Janitor report" and in the mail say that...

    "Unfiled mail messages dated prior to 20-May-1994 have been placed into
    your WASTEBASKET"

    And those mails have been replaced to WASTEBASKET folder. Actually, the
    ALL-IN-1 Janitor job should be check for the mails prior to 19-Feb-1994.
    Other users (account name begin with "A" thru "S") havn't got the problem,
    the ALL-IN-1 Janitor job have been run normally. For the users that got
    the problem, they say that they received the ALL-IN-1 Janitor mail 2 mails,
    the one check for the mails prior to 19-Feb-94 and another one check for
    the mails prior to 20-May-94.

    I don't know why the problem happen ! Could you please suggest me and
    how I protect the problems.

    Thanks for your advice.

    Best regards,
    Thitinun

4198.1Mail Janitor not here, but a guess.....IOSG::PYEGraham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's ApprenticeTue May 24 1994 14:338
    Janitor is an ASSETT, so isn't really supported in this notes file.
    However a guess:

    I think the date that the janitor chooses isn't an absolute date e.g.
    20-jan-1994, but it's a number of days (usually 90) in the past. So if
    the job was running over midnight, could it have changed?
