4179.0. "Message has been sent NOT" by AUSSIE::GARSON (achtentachtig kacheltjes) Thu May 19 1994 03:40

A customer is using the underscore notation to send mail via an "alternate"
    messaging system e.g.

    _FUBAR fubar_addressing_syntax

From time to time the mail message is not able to be sent and the code in
SPECIAL.COM outputs an error message to that effect. However hot on its
heels is a success message "Message has been sent". This success message
is not produced by SPECIAL.COM. Furthermore, a little while later the
user receives a cryptic mail message (non delivery notification).

I have trolled through old notes and came up with the attached. Can
anyone provide more detail as to how I modify SPECIAL.COM to use that
    "function"?
