What type of document are you printing?
What type of ALL-IN-1 printer destination are you printing to?
Have you looked at the VMS Print Job to see if it has a /PAGES
qualifier?

4087.2 | Haven't looked at the page qualifier | CROCKE::YUEN | Banquo Yuen, Darwin Australia | Thu Apr 21 1994 09:30 | 10 |
| I have tried WordPerfect and ordinary text document.
I have tried using both postscript and LN03 print style for the
text document.
I haven't look at the print entries see if there is any page qualifier
but I will do.
Thanks

| Hello Banquo,
> I have tried WordPerfect and ordinary text document.
I just tried to print a WordPerfect document from the WP menu and I wasn't able
to change my print settings, which to my opinion is the correct behaviour; the
WPS formatting field in the WPCORP record in FORMAT.DAT contains the value N.
Neither could I for the same reason change the print settings for an text
(ASCII) document.
To select a certain page range for a WordPerfect document, print this document
from within WordPerfect.

4087.4 | Which page range? | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO2-G/L2 | Thu Apr 21 1994 11:06 | 13 |
| Re: .3
This refers to the WPS-PLUS Formatter Print Settings, and the First page
printed: and Last page printed: fields on that form. If the document type
specifies that WPS-PLUS formatting is not used then this form will not be
displayed.
I had assumed that Banquo was referring to the ALL-IN-1 Print Sub-system
Print Settings menu First page: and Last page: fields because he was able
to fill in the fields.

4087.5 | GOLD-E, not NEXT SCREEN | CROCKE::YUEN | Banquo Yuen, Darwin Australia | Fri Apr 22 1994 09:31 | 9 |
| RE .3 AND .4
I am referring the printing setting (GOLD-E), but NOT the
WPS-PLUS formatting setting (NEXT SCREEN).
It is actually on the second screen of printing setting.
Thanks

Yeah, you're right I was looking on the wrong place.
To limit your printed pages to a specific range you've to specify this
range on the Print Settings - continued (4) form fields LOWER PAGE LIMIT and
UPPER PAGE LIMIT. In your printjob you'll see
/param=(page_limit=(LOWER PAGE,UPPER PAGE)
If you specify the page range on the Print Settings - continued (2) fields
FIRST PAGE and LAST PAGE. This will result in your printjob in
/page=(FIRST_PAGE,LAST PAGE).

Martin
