4069.0. "CDA 2.0 under ALL-IN-1 3.0 - cannot open source file" by OAMATE::MATTHEWS_G (It's not the years, it's the milage.) Mon Apr 11 1994 18:16

Speaking to a customer (Betty Garceran of CREDIT SUISSE), who is running
ALL-IN-1 3.0 with CDA 2.0 installed on the system.

They have already run the MUP (needed for Teamlinks).

When they go to do a READ or CD (convert document) on an RTF file that was
brought over by a DT RVC they get the error:

Cannot open source file. (or is it - Can't open source file)

We have been unable to trace this down though we have learned a lot about how
to get CDA 2.0 or CDA 2.2 to work under ALL-IN-1 3.0.

On our system with CDA and ALL-IN-1 3.0 installed (with the MUP installed)
can make or break the CDA functionality under ALL-IN-1 in various ways but have
never seen the customer's message. None of our techniques so far have affected
it.

Has anyone seen this "Cannot open source file" where they have traced down
the cause and cure?

Gary (Not an ALL-IN-1 person but a CDA person who has been working with an
ALL-IN-1 person)

    Some questions.

If they get sent the RTF as a message does that work?

Can you do a DIR/FULL on the RTF file and put the results here.

    ta,
